FAQS
Below are answers to the questions we get asked most often. If you don't see what you're looking for or you have a unique project feel free to email us at hello@nixemedia.com, we're always happy to help!
What types of products do you photograph?
Most physical products - beauty/skincare, candles, jewelry, stationery, pottery, home goods, party goods, gifts, packaged food, and more. If it's shippable and you can sell it online, we can likely photograph it.
Can you match my brand style?
Absolutely. Share you website/IG and a few example photos you love. We'll match the lighting, mood and overall feel so everything looks cohesive.
Do you provide props and backgrounds?
Yes - neutral props and surfaces are available in-studio If you need specific branded items (custom packaging, florals, seasonal props, branded colors), we can use what you ship or we can source with approval.
What file types and sizes do we get?
You'll receive high-resolution images for print and web-optimized versions for online use. If you need specific crops (Shopify banners, IG, delivery apps), we can deliver those as well.
How does shipping work for product shoots?
Clients ship products to our studio for the shoot. After we photograph everything, we can ship items back at your request - return shipping is paid by the client and we'll confirm costs and timing upfront so everything is simple and predictable.
How many photos should I plan for?
A strong product listing typically uses 8-12 images (heros + angles + detail + lifestyle) . Restaurants often do best with 10-25 images depending on menu size and whether we are including interior / ambiance. Images for socials vary.
Do you offer monthly content packages?
Yes - retainers are available for brands and restaurants that want consistent seasonal launches, specials, and ongoing social content.
We're busy - when do you shoot restaurant content?
Many restaurants prefer off-peak times (mornings or prep times, in between rushes) so the shoot is smooth and your team isn't stressed. However, we can also shoot during peak periods if that works best for your situation!
I'm interested in working with you, but would like to know what the process is like.
Inquiry → Discovery Call / Email → Proposal / Contract + Invoice → Prep (ship items or schedule on-location) → Shoot + Editing → Final Delivery
How do you ensure my products stay organized and accounted for?
Every shipment is logged when it arrives, matched to your shot list, and kept together throughout the project so nothing gets mixed up or misplaced. After the shoot, items are repacked carefully if you request return shipping.
